Leaflet 15a in the Needlework Development Scheme’s series “And So To Sew” includes full patterns and instructions for two girl’s party dresses to fit a 30 to 32 inch bust and 24 to 26 inch waist. Two variations of each dress are included.
Dress one has a plain bodice and full gathered skirt with optional contrast binding and sash.
Dress two has a simple bodice cut on the bias to create chevrons using a striped fabric, and six piece skirt with a softly gathered waist. Instructions for an optional double net yoke are included for a version of the dress made with plain fabric.
