Fern leaf lace insertion knit from a Victorian era knitting pattern

from “The Ladies’ Guide to Elegant Lace Patterns, Etc.”

The sample shows seven vertical repeats of the pattern. It was knit with size 10 perle cotton on 2.25mm needles and measures 14 cm/5½” wide.
