Weavette Amulet Bags

Size

Small: 2 inches square
Large: 2 x 4 inches

Materials

Scraps of novelty yarns: for the green bag I used Cleckheaton Faux Fur and Patons Totem wool and for the red bag I used Cleckheaton Divine.

One 2 x 4 inch weavette loom (You can also use the 2 inch loom and join 2 squares to form a rectangle or the 4 x 4 inch loom and fold in half for the large bag)

Crochet hook

Pattern

Red Bag: Weave two 2 x 4 inch rectangles and stitch together around 3 sides, leaving one short end open.
Crochet a chain approximately 24 inches long and sew it to the top of the bag at the sides of the opening. Darn in all the loose ends on the inside of the bag.

Green Bag: Weave one 2 x 4 inch rectangle, fold in half and stitch together around 2 sides, leaving one end open.
Crochet a chain approximately 24 inches long and sew it to the top of the bag at the sides of the opening. Darn in all the loose ends on the inside of the bag.

Note: When weaving with a shaggy yarn, wind the weft in a matching smooth yarn and weave with the shaggy yarn only.
