How to Use the Singercraft Fagoter Without Stay Lines from “Sewing for the Home” 1946

How to use the Singercraft fagotter without the special foot

This technique was devised by Mary Brooks Picken in her book “Sewing for the Home” (my edition is from 1946).

You shouldn’t have any trouble using this technique and a Singer/Simanco zipper/cording foot as the extra threads used to make the stay lines aren’t used, therefore you won’t need the special foot to make sure you stitch exactly over them.
