Materials and Size

Patons Blanket Wool

The Pram Cover: 18″ x 24″ – 10 ozs.

The Cot Cover: 26″ x 40″ – 20 ozs.

Knitting Needles, 1 pair UK No 6/5mm/US 8

Crochet Hook, UK No 10/3.25mm/US D-3

Tension

To get these measurements it is absolutely necessary to work at a tension to produce 10 stitches to 2 inches in width, measured over stocking stitch.

Pattern

Cast on 79 stitches (for Cot Cover cast on 127 stitches)

** 1st row: * K7, P1, rep from * to last 7 sts, K7.

2nd row: * P7, K1, rep from * to last 7 sts, P7.

Rep. 1st and 2nd rows once.

5th row: * K3, P1, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.

6th row: * P2, K1, P1, K1, P2, K1, rep from * to last 7 sts, P2, K1, P1, K1, P2.

Rep. 5th row once, 2nd row once, 1st and 2nd rows once, then 1st row once. ***

12th row: Knit plain. **

Rep from ** to ** ten times (for Cot Cover-twenty times), then from ** to *** once.

In next row: Purl. Cast off.

Using Crochet Hook and with right side of work facing, work 5 rows of dc round cover (working through both loops), working 3 dc into each corner.

Fasten off.

With a slightly damp cloth and warm iron, press lightly.
