Scraps of white, orange, green, red (or any colour for hat), and black yarn - DK or worsted weight Small amount of toy filling Method: Stuff lightly, pull top gather tight and work locking stitches at the top. Wind some yarn around the "neck" (about 1/3 from the top) and pull to indent the neck. With black, embroider face using 2 lazy daisy stitches for each eye (work one lazy daisy st around the other on each eye) and embroider the mouth with large backstitches. Embroider the nose using orange by working 3 horizontal satin stitches, then work 3 vertical satin stitches over the top of these. Embroider the coal buttons down the front of the snowman's body using 3 horizontal satin stitches for each button. Hat and Scarf Fit the open end of the knitting over the snowman's head and sew in place.
For the scarf, make a twisted cord with red and green, approximately 42cm long. Wind twice around neck and tie in place. If you would like to hang your snowman from your christmas tree add a loop of yarn at the top of the hat.
