To Make Up

Note: This pattern uses UK crochet terms. DC = US single crochet, treble = US double crochet and so on.

With a slightly damp cloth and warm iron, press lightly.

Using a flat seam sew up shoulder and side seams leaving a 4 inch opening for armholes.

Using the crochet hook, work edge around fronts and neck as follows:

(Note: trebles should be worked ¼ inch in height).

** 1st row: (Right side of work facing). Join in wool, 1 ch, * 1 dc in edge, rep. from * to end. Fasten off.

2nd row: (Right side of work facing). Join in wool, 2 ch, 3 tr. in first dc, * miss 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc, miss 1 dc, 4 tr in next dc, rep. from * to end. Fasten off. **

Work as given from ** to ** round armholes omitting “fasten off” at end of 1st round.

Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes. Finally, press all seams.
