Joining Granny Circles With Crochet: Granny Crochet B

Starting with a slip knot on your crochet hook, join yarn to the granny circle with a single crochet (UK double crochet).

Chain 5, single crochet in the same space as the first single crochet, chain 9, leave 8sts on the circle, single crochet between 8th and 9th stitch on circle, crochet 5, single crochet in same place as last single crochet.

Continue around, ending chain 9, and slip st into the first single crochet made on the circle. The result will be 4 loops of 5 chain stitches and 4 loops of 9 chain sts

Joining Granny Crochet B Circles:

Follow instructions for first circle until you have one loop of 5 chain stitches and one loop of 9 chain stitches on circle 2.

Crochet 2 chain stitches, slip st in the 3rd chain of any loop of 5 chain sts on circle 1.

Crochet 2 chain sts, single crochet in the same place as the last single crochet on circle 2.

Crochet 4 chain sts, slip st in the 5th chain stitch in the loop of 9 chain sts on circle 1, 4 chain, leave 4 sts on circle 2 unworked, work a single crochet, chain 2, slip st in the 3rd chain of the next loop of 5 chain sts on circle 1, 2 chain, single crochet back in the same place as the last single crochet on circle 2, finish circle 2 as for circle 1.

Continue joining circles in this manner, following the diagram above.
