The original version of this pattern calls for 4 pounds of size 10 cotton but doesn’t say what size bed the cover is intended for.
In modern terms size 10 cotton is roughly equivalent to fingering-sportweight.
This bed cover is knit in strips which are joined together using any method you wish (an insertion, crochet, etc) and then an edging of your choice is added.
