Recaptcha has been reinstalled. It is now working properly. Unfortunately we had about 30 spambot users sign up in the meantime but now that it's reinstalled they can't do any damage User:Knittingand October 1st 2007

Current Projects Editor's Mailing List: KnitWiki@yahoogroups.com
If you'd like to write something to be added to the wiki or just help out in general, you'll find all the info you need on the KnitWiki:Projects page.

Current projects include:

Future projects include:

  • Knitting for the Troops
If you are a registered editor or you think you might like to be one, you might like to join the KnitWiki yahoogroup to receive notices about new wiki projects, updates or problems. Joining this list is optional, you may still edit wiki pages if you are not a member of the yahoogroup.
Team Leaders Still Required! Team Leaders

I need a volunteer, or team of volunteers, to oversee each project listed at Knitwiki:Projects

Basically, your job would be:

  • To make sure people are playing nice (no problems so far!)
  • Make sure that official KnitWiki policies are being adhered to (copyright, formatting etc. I realise I still need to write a few of those)
  • Mark short or obviously incomplete articles as stubs
  • Mark articles with other special templates (such as the transcription template)
  • To officially introduce new areas of your project when people have good ideas for additions.

The projects that require a team leader are listed below without leaders named:

Subcategories that will definitely need someone in charge are:

I will give each team leader bureaucrat status, which means I can then give the leaders the technical privileges they might need. It will then be up to each team leader to choose a team of helpers. You might want a helper for each subcategory in your project, for example. Or you might just need one or two.

If you'd like to be in charge of anything let me know and I'll start sorting out who the leaders will be and then give them the list of people who are also interested in working on their particular project.

Also, if you'd like to start a new project please do! You will automatically be the official leader for your project once you start it.

If you have any questions please leave a message on my talk page or leave a message on the current events talk page so all the users can read it and be part of the discussion.
