Circular Needles

Circular needles are short pairs of knitting needles joined by a long flexible cord.

They are available in a range of materials including plastic, metal and bamboo.

Circular needles are also available in interchangeable sets which contain cords of various lengths and sets of different size needles that can be attached to the cords. These sets are particularly useful for condo knitting which uses two needles of greatly differing thicknesses.

Often used for knitting in the round, they are also useful for knitting flat pieces because the weight of your knitting can be held in your lap while it is sitting on the cord section of your needles.
