The Single Woven Centre

This video was made several years after writing the tutorial below and contains a lot of added information.

1: Pass your needle under the threads at the right hand side of the petal at the opposite side to the last petal you wound.

For example, the last petal I wound is at the bottom of the photo on the left. I am passing my needle under the threads that form the right hand side of the top petal.

2: Pass your needle under the same threads again. Your thread will form a loop.
3: Pass your thread through the loop to form a knot.
4: Pull the knot tight.
5: Working anticlockwise, pass your needle under the threads that form the right hand side of the next petal.
6: Repeat step 5 all the way around.
7: When you reach the first petal again, start passing your needle under the threads on the left hand side of each petal.
8: Continue weaving around your flower in this way, changing the side of the petal you are weaving under every time you reach the first petal.
9: To finish off your thread, pass it under the last set of threads again and
10: leave a loose loop.
11. Pass your thread through the loop and pull the knot tight.

Pop your flower off the loom and stitch the loose ends into the back.
