Rose Leaf Insertion from "The Ladies' Guide to Elegant Lace Patterns, Etc."

Rose leaf lace insertion knit from a Victorian era knitting pattern

The sample shows five vertical repeats of the pattern. It was knit with size 10 perle cotton on 2.25mm needles and measures 9½ cm/3½" wide

This pattern is similar to the Double Rose Leaf Insertion from Home Work, published in 1891, but it has more rows and columns of lace fagoting down either side.
