Knitted edging with eyelet lace scallops

from “The Ladies’ Guide to Elegant Lace Patterns, Etc.”

The sample was knit with size 10 perle cotton and 2.25mm needles and measures 4½ cm/1¾” wide

Note: The triple yarn over in the first row is made into 3sts on the following row by working (k1, p1, k1) into it.

Cast on 15 sts and knit 1 row.

Row 1 (RS): sl 1, k2, (yo, k2tog) twice, k3, yo, k2tog, (yo) 3 times, k2tog, k1

Row 2 (WS): sl 1, k2, p1, k3, yo, k2tog, k5, yo, k2tog, k1

Row 3: sl 1, k2, yo, k2tog, k1, yo, k2tog, k2, yo, k2tog, k5

Row 4: sl 1, k6, yo, k2tog, k5, yo, k2tog, k1

Row 5: sl 1, (k2, yo, k2tog) twice, k1, yo, k2tog, k5

Row 6: Cast off 2, k4, yo, k2tog, k5, yo, k2tog, k1

These 6 rows form the pattern. Repeat for desired length.
