Materials:
Scrap of dk yarn
Set of 4mm dpns and a set of 3.25mm dpns

Tension:
22sts and 30 rows to 10cm over st st on 4mm needles

Abbreviations:
M1 = Make 1 by picking up the bar that lies between stitches and knitting into the back of it.

Method:
Using 3.25mm needles cast on 36sts and work 4 rounds K1, P1 rib.

Change to 4mm needles and work the next round as follows:
1st round: *K6, M1, rep from * to end of round.

2nd round: K

3rd round: *K7, M1, rep from * to end of round

4th round: K

Continue increasing in this manner until you reach the 9th round: *K10, M1, rep to end of round.

10th round: Purl

11th round: *K9, K2tog, rep from * to end of round.

12th round: K

13th round: *K8, K2tog, rep from * to end of round

14th round: K

When you reach round 17 begin working the decrease rounds every round, instead of every alternate round.

Continue decreasing in this manner until 6sts remain.

Cut yarn, thread through remaining sts and fasten off.
