Mosaic Garter Stitch

Knitted Sample Knitted Sample

Left: Sample knit using three colours
Right: Rather outrageous sample knit using seventeen colours

This stitch was a long time favourite of my Nanny Bradberry and my Mum when I was a small child. I still have a large rabbit my Mum made for me when I was three which incorporates this stitch so I remember it fondly. These instructions are figured from a knitted sample. It looks especially nice knit in two or three colours.

This is a very firm stitch especially suitable for toys and baby’s blankets.
