US size 3 (Old UK 10 or Metric 3.25mm)
Abbreviations:
K = Knit
YO = yarn over
sl 1 = slip 1
K2tog = knit 2 together
PSSO = pass slipped stitch over
The Square:
Cast on 64sts and knit 2 rows.
Row 1: K3, *YO twice, sl 1, K2tog, PSSO, repeat from * to last s, K1
Row 2: K2, * (K1, P1) into double YO on previous row, K1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, K3
Rows 3 and 4: Knit
Repeat these 4 rows until piece measures 9" (22.5cm).
Cast off and block.
