Cup and Saucer
Cup:
6 ch, join into ring
1st Row: 12 dc into ring
2nd Row: 2 dc into every st
3rd Row: 1 dc into every st
4th Row: 2 dc into every st
5th to 11th Row: 1 dc into every st
12th Row: * 1 dt into first st, draw thread through 2 sts, through next 2 sts, leaving 2 sts on hook, 1 dc, draw thread through 2 sts, and then work off the remaining sts in twos. 2 ch, repeat. 2 dt into same st, miss 2 sts * Repeat.
13th Row: * 2 dc into loop between dt, 1 dc into each of the next 2 sts. Repeat.
14th to 16th Rows: 1 dc into each st before ending off thread, work handle.
Handle:
18 ch. take back to 6th row of cup, fasten in and work 5 dc over ch and into side of cup, into loop 12 dc. 4 t, 6 dc, fasten off.
Saucer
1st Row: Work a row of dc into 3rd row of cup
2nd Row: 1 dc into every st
3rd Row: 1 dc into every st
4th Row: 2 dc into every st
5th to 8th Rows: 1 dc into every st
9th Row: 2 dc into every st
10th Row: 1 dc into every st
11th Row: 1 dc into every st
12th Row: Same as row 12 of cup
13th Row: * 2 dc into loop between dt, 1 dc into each of next 2 sts. Repeat all round.
14th Row: 1 dc into every st
15th Row: * 1 dc into each of first 4 sts, miss 1 st. * Repeat all round.
I6th Row: 1 dc into every st. Fasten off.
Cover
1st Row: Join thread into 4th row at base of saucer and work 2 dc into every st
2nd Row to 10th Rows: 1 dc into every st
11th Row: * 1 dc into first st, 2 dc into next st. * Repeat all round.
12th to 14th Rows: 1 dc into every st. (There should now be 144 sts)
15th Row: * 4 ch, miss 1 st, 1 dc into next st. * Repeat all round (72 loops).
16th Row: sl st to centre of loop * 1 dc, 4 ch, 1 dc into next loop * Repeat all round
17th Row: sl st to first ch of loop (3 ch for a t) 3 t into loop, * 1 blk into each of next 2 loops * 16 spaces of 1 t, 3 ch, 1 blk into each of next 3 loops * Repeat all round, join with sl st to 3 ch
