November 9, 2009New ToysI couldn't help myself, the new butterfly and shamrock (4 leaf clover) Clover quick yo-yo makers are on their way to my house thanks to the current exchange rate between Aussie and US dollars :)

I live in the UK - 3 ply yarn here is very fine (and difficult to find) and old UK number 8 needles would normally be used to knit a UK double knit weight yarn. I find it difficult to envisage a tension of 6-1/2 stitches to the inch for the combination of yarn/needles specified in the pattern. Are you able to help, please? Is 3-ply yarn in NZ a different weight from that in the UK? Many thanks
