Catching Up

I'm just catching up replying to emails and ravelry messages that I have missed over the last 6 or so weeks.

I am trying to make the comfort shawl & have run into a problem with Row 57& 63. I don't understand the 3 times right before the ** Can you help ?

For Lelah H - It looks like you repeat everything between the square brackets[] 3 times. The stuff inside the square brackets also has some repeats, so you do things multiple times inside the brackets, and you do it all three times.
