Another One for the Collection!

I just won this on Ebay!

wendy1.JPG

It's a Wendy brand Multi-Needle daisy winder. Introduced in the mid 1960's, the multi-needle is the only daisy winder I know of that allows you to make diamond shapes, which is why I wanted it.

The real kicker is that I already own a multi-needle winder but not the attachments that go with it. When I purchased a bulk lot of daisy winders on ebay last year the attachments for the multineedle were listed in a separate auction as "mystery items". I really wish I had realised what they were at the time as I would have told the seller!

There is another attachment that isn't included in this auction that (I think) allows you to make larger flowers by raising up the centre of the loom. You can see it in this photo from an earlier auction that I totally missed. (Damn).

I'm not too gutted since I collect daisy winders to use, rather than precious collectibles, but it would have been cool to have a complete multi-needle set!
