YMMV

A while ago I bought some 10mm circular Crystal Palace bamboo needles.

Upon using them for the first time, one of them self destructed.

The other one is still perfect. What really sucks (aside from the fact that they cost about $15 with shipping), is that they're really nice to use. Until they fell apart anyway...

Has anyone out there used Crystal Palace bamboo needles? What do you think of them?

I have had the same problem with their DP's...when working on socks they warp and break. I have had the same problem with the OPlymouth DP's. In addition, circuoars will break on me too after lots of use. Genie

My eyes! My eyes! OMG - that is one CU picture - BRAVA! I have had my own bamboo crisis lately -mine came out of the metal sleeve that joins them to the cable.

I haven't written Crystal Palace but after reading your entry I'm a thinkin' it's about time I did...

What can I say, I love my macro setting :-)

I've had both cheap and expensive bamboo needles self destruct on me. I am starting to wonder if it is the way I knit. It is really peeving when one needle of a $15 pair decides to start splintering. They say you can smooth them down with sandpaper but it hasn't worked very well for me. Maybe I am just too impatient
