New Free Stuff!

To thank you all for your patience while I updated my website design (I hope you like pink), I've added some new free stuff to Knitting-and.com!

Brand new in the spinning and dyeing section are a tutorial on working with sari silk waste threads and instructions for the method I use to wash raw fleece.

Also new in the spinning and dyeing section are some articles by my sister Tracy, including her technique for washing raw fleece, a description of yarn count (those weird numbers on cones of yarn), how to skirt a fleece and what to avoid when purchasing a new fleece.

I've also added all my tutorials and patterns from Southern Cross Knitting, since the next issue of the magazine will the last one due to time constraints.

I have attempted to fix the problem with knitting patterns printing off the side of the page, but they'll need to be thoroughly tested by visitors to find out if my solution was succesful.

I removed the software section since much of the software I had for download doesn't work with the latest versions of Windows.

Finally, I've updated all of the logo products on cafepress with the new logo.

Please let me know if you notice any broken links, missing pictures, or if patterns still print off the side of the page.

Now, the links so you know where to find everything! Where I've listed an index page you'll find all the new things marked as "**NEW**"

New website - nice! Much funkier than the old one. I thought I had loaded the wrong page!
What's this - only one more issue of SCK? You put in an awful lot of work but it's only just getting going! Such a good resource.
Good luck with the sale on the 10th. :-)

Sarah I was given your addy by a good friend, as my sister lives for spinning and weaving, also knitting up her wool. She recently went nuts and paid $21 for an Opal lollypop ball of wool to make herself socks. YOur site is wonderful, she enjoyed the page Mostly Knitting and I have to print it out for her and hope I get somewhere near the colours with my printer, though I doubet it as the last time I printed pink it came out greyish. that is a bother for me. Chris has no computer and rarely gets to visit me though I live on the same island just five mins up the road!!! Anyway she truly enjoyed reading your page, and she was sitting her knitting her socks up with yarn she had rainbow dyed herself. Do you have more weaving pics with this yarn and triangle loom pics? Are you using a triangle loom? thankyou again, Robbie, I spin and weave as well but do more in minis and writing. but i love to knit up my wool. I love pink rainbow dying and my husband is good at it as well. /robbie
