The Devil Made Me Do It.

Bored with my 768 sts per round tablecloth and not wanting to start something I couldn't finish straight away, I decided to see if I could knit faux fur yarn on the Mattel Knitting Machine.
It turns out that you can, and the result is the Faux Fur Keyhole Scarf. (The keyhole is also faux!)
You can find it at http://www.knitting-and.com/barbie-
knitter/fauxfur.htm
The yarn was just sitting there mocking me. It had to be dealt with. Honest.

hi there! i just wanted to thank you for writing the kids knit book. i bought it for my daughter for christmas, and she is really enjoying it! right now she's about to finish up with project #9, the cat toy. then she has a bunch of debbie bliss to work on the drawstring handbag. i taught her to knit last year, but she wasn't really into it - gets frustrated very easily, has a short attention span, etc. this year, though, it has clicked. she loves your book - the projects are very well-explained and really appeal to her. she also likes giving captions to all the kids holding apples in the photos!
i'm planning on featuring your book at my next homeschoolers' knitting club meeting. woohoo!
thank you again, and take care!
