The Heat Must Be Getting to Me

Re: Starting a winter jumper for my daughter...

What was I thinking? Bulky wool in 30C + heat. Oy.

So, for a break from knitting 7 plain rounds on my table cloth (at 764 sts per round, can you say BORING?) I thought I'd steal Monica's mememe thing that she stole from Alison that Alison got from I don't know where cos Monica forgot to link to her blog so I don't know which Alison it was.

**Gasp**

Sorry, I forgot to breathe during that sentence.

I seriously take no notice of brands of anything except yarn (and even then I spin more of my own than I buy so probably not even then) soooooo consider that a warning <G>

Grooming Products

Shampoo: The apple thingy one that's less than 2 bucks a bottle. I never saw any difference between that and the stuff I used to use that was $14 a bottle so I thought "what the heck". I use the matching conditioner too. Every day. I have nice shiny hair ;-)

Moisturizer: Plain old Sorbolene. I use it every day and I still had to go look. I'm a totally useless consumer (yay!). It makes a great substitute for soap if you have dry skin too.

Cologne: Nope. Most cologne makes my psoriasis break out so I don't use it.

Razor: Whatever Jamie bought :-P

Toothpaste: Whatever Jamie bought. Though I do really like that stuff with baking soda in it. That reminds me, it's time to visit the dentist...

Electronics

Cell phone: Cell phone? That's MOBILE phone people, MOBILE. It's a Nokia thingy. I forget which, but it's cheap and it works out here in the middle of nowhere. That's what's important.

Television: Yes. It's a weird Korean brand, same as the DVD player.

Stereo: I used to use the computer til it started crashing every 5 minutes. Now I use the XBox.

Home

Sheets: Usually found on the bed or in the laundry (or in the basket that currently serves as a linen cupboard cos the kitchen isn't finished yet and that's where the linen cupboard is supposed to go which is currently in my studio full of spinning stuff). I have no idea what they are besides cotton.

Coffee-maker: Depending on the time of day, either me or Jamie. We're STILL renovating and don't have a kitchen so there's nowhere to keep a coffee maker.

Car: 1986 Commodore Berlina. And that's the new car ;-)

Stationery: The top sheet off the stack of printer paper.

Beverages

Bottled water: Tank water. Off the roof. Country Aussies are tough, we even drink the stuff! Technically it's still bottled because we haven't put the tap from the tank to the kitchen yet. Because we don't have a kitchen.

Coffee: I prefer green tea but I do like a cup or two of whatever that stuff is that Jamie buys with skim milk, no sugar.

Vodka: I don't like alcohol. Seriously. But when I do drink Vodka it's usually one of those nasty neon coloured things that girls are supposed to drink. Though I probably wouldn't drink more than 4 a year.

Clothes

Jeans: Don't wear 'em.

T-shirt: Don't wear 'em.

Briefcase or tote: Backpack. Or a handmade tote if I only need something light.

Sneakers: Shoes... shoes.... I used to know what they were.

Necessary Extravagance

Books. Lots of new information on all sorts of topics in lots of books.

FavoUrite Places

I'm stealing Monica's answer on this one as well! "The soft bits of skin that run down the side of the torso and inwards at the hips".

I love that place :-)
