Getting Bored...

I got through the flower section of the BWD last night.

I'm thoroughly bored with it at the moment because the rounds are getting very long and the pattern has become extremely simple. I did find a mistake in 2 rounds of my corrections though, which livened things up for the 3 seconds it took me to realise what I'd done wrong

:-P

Lots of folks emailed me with info about dyeing mercerised cotton and thanks to all who did! I now know that not only will it dye, but it'll dye very well, so I'm no longer going to worry about running out of thread.

I need a quick project to keep the "process" half of my brain interested. I'm thinking of whipping up a jumper for Miss Brittany for next Winter from some handspun that I spun especially for the purpose. I'd better hurry because she's almost 5ft tall (same height I was at 11yrs old), if I don't make it for next season I'm not going to have enough yarn!

It's going to be a purple raglan with a red and orange stripe across the front. It'll be purple for quite a few inches, orange for 1 or 2 rounds, then a big red stripe with angelina for sparkle, then 1 or 2 rounds orange and the rest purple. I only hope I can estimate how much she's going to grow in the next 6 months so I get it the right size...
