The Saga of The Badly Written Doily (tm) continues...

I'm up to round 74, as you can see here, totally scrunched up on a 64cm needle. I'm making it from size 10 mercerised cotton on 2mm needles and am developing a lovely callous on my left index finger because the yarn feels like string until you block it
:-P
Here's a photo that shows where I'm up to a bit more clearly. I'm up to the red dotted line:

The corrections won't kick in until round 95 so I haven't had any problems yet.
And yes, it's 33.5 degrees celcius today and I've been knitting.
New Toys!
My Addis arrived this morning, at last!

I got them from STYK at http://www.styk.com.au. Now, aside from the enormously huge circs at Marta's Yarns*, I have a full set of circular needles from 1.5 to 10mm in 40, 80 and 100cm lengths. Never again will I find a hat that I want to knit and not have a suitable 40cm circ. I'm a happy camper.
:-)
I'm not normally one to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to brand names, but when I told my favourite knitting list I was going to fill out my collection so many people said I should get Addis that I thought I'd try them out.
And finally, here's the Sarah Don book that Jamie brought home the other day. It has some lovely patterns in it, but for heaven's sake if you make anything from it CHANGE THE COLOURS (!!!!) and if you make the scarf, please replace the word "fairisle" with a nice charted design or two. Because having the word "Fairisle" written on a fairisle scarf is just WRONG.

BTW, Winkey says "Hey".

She popped up from her paper recycling just long enough to grace us with her presence...
* Marta now has online ordering! 2 ply merino in 360 colours, I'm in Heaven! Or I would be if I had any money left after Christmas
:-P
